GMCI empowers more companies to fully
compete in the marketplace

The NASA Glenn Garrett Morgan Commercialization Initiative delivers technical and business services. We bridge the gap that small, technology-oriented companies experience when developing inventions from research into technology products/services for government or non-government markets. GMCI's goal is to facilitate the growth of small, diverse businesses leading to accelerated technology development, economic development, and global competitiveness by small firms throughout the U.S.

We accomplish this goal by leveraging the resources of NASA, a leader in space, aeronautics and science, and Battelle, the world’s largest independent R&D organization. We provide small enterprises with the following, at no cost, for up to one year:

1. Enhanced access to technology, expertise and programs at NASA and Battelle
2. Delivery of capacity building services (such as technology assessments, networking events, etc.)
3. Flexible commercialization funding for prototype development or test and evaluation of technology
4. Value-added technology education and training programs (such as SBIR/STTR workshops)
